Prayer Groups
- Centering
Prayer Group (contemplative). Drawn from the ancient Christian
contemplative tradition, centering prayer is presented in an
updated, accessible four-step method. The group meets every
Tuesday evening in Room 250 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Contact person:
Joe Hajdu -- 412-793-8151 or hajdu625 (please add the extension"@comcast.net").
- Ignatian
Prayer Group (reflective). Learn various ways of praying
with Scripture using forms such as contemplation, meditation,
reflection, etc. as described by The Spiritual Exercises of
Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Materials are provided each week for
use each day. The group meets weekly to share their prayer experiences.
Once a week, day/time to be determined.
Facilitator: Lois Lang
Small Groups
A small group is a gathering of 3
to 12 people (sometimes more) who meet on a regular basis to
share a common interest. More than a gathering for fellowship,
the goals are to become involved in activities for mission or
ministry as identified by the group, to offer support for
personal and spiritual growth, and to provide an opportunity to
pray together. Ideas for forming new groups are welcome.
- Happy Wanderers.
Fellowship for older adults experienced through a variety of
local trips and events. Singles and couples are welcome.
Most activities are during the day.
Once a month on different days.

Spiritual Direction
The yearning for God and for the
meaning of life are issues that some individuals want to
explore. A spiritual director will help the individual to listen
for the voice of the Holy Spirit and help him/her become more
aware of the presence and action of God in his/her life.
