Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Returns
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Community Engagement Concert, Saturday Nov 14: The PSO will present a Community Engagement Concert at East Liberty Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. PSO Resident Conductor Lawrence Loh will conduct a string orchestra from the PSO. The PSO’s own Scott Bell and Jeremy Black will perform a duet for oboe and violin by Bach; the concert will also feature music by Mozart and Grieg. A pre-concert student performance will take place from 6:00-6:45, featuring students from Dilworth Elementary, CAPA Middle School and Hope Academy of Music and the Arts’ new East Liberty Community Engagement Orchestra (EL CEO); then a post-concert celebration featuring International Baccalaureate’s Steel Drummers and a bake sale from 8:30-9:00 (ELPC Social Hall). Tickets for adults are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets are $5 for seniors aged 60+ and students 18 and under. - Seekers: "A God who Calls: An Introduction to Process Theology," led by the Rev. Schoenewolf. We profess our belief in a Triune God who creates, redeems and sustains. Process Theology gives a voice to the radical creativity, the implicit relationality, and the persistent initiative of God. Join Rev. Schoenewolf as we learn how the ideas of Process Theology help us think about the core beliefs of our faith.

Spirituality 101: Growing Closer to God (6-week class)
Would you like to feel closer to God and more aware of God’s presence in your life? Often different ways of praying can help us to accomplish this. This class will focus on various forms of prayer, choosing different prayer forms each week. Join us on Monday afternoons, 1:30 - 3:00 or Monday evenings, 7:00 - 8:30. Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, Sunday November 22
Join us and enjoy a turkey dinner with all the trimmings! ELPC will
provide turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy. Congregation members are asked to bring other side dishes, salads and desserts.
Volunteers are needed to help set up on Sat., Nov. 21, at 10 am; to help serve immediately after 11 am Worship; and to help clean up.
Tickets will be issued on a first-come basis. A $5 free-will offering, to

Community development update
The Neighbors Committee will sponsor a meeting to update our congregation on developments in our East Liberty neighborhood.
We’ll focus on EECM’s plans for a new Community House, which will enable it to consolidate many of its services in one building. Join us on Sunday, November 15, at 12:30 pm in room 234.
