Lisa Larges, guest speaker on October 11
ELPC is pleased to welcome guest lecturer and preacher Lisa Larges, Minister Coordinator for That All May Freely Serve (TAMFS)—a Presbyterian advocacy group. A lifelong Presbyterian, Larges is a candidate for ministry under care of the Presbytery of San Francisco, being honest about her identity as a lesbian and gifted with a sincere call to Presbyterian ministry. Her role is to lead TAMFS in its work for “an inclusive church that honors diversity and welcomes LGBT persons as full members” (TAMFS Mission Statement). Larges is a gifted speaker, having preached at numerous national conferences, and is a compelling advocate for full inclusion in the Presbyterian Church. On Sun., Oct. 11, she will lead a combined Adult Christian Education class at 9:45 am, in the Chapel, and will deliver the message at the 11 am worship service.
