God's earth has many languages, but God's gospel proclaims love to all nations with one language. There are many messengers of the good news, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, we unite into one song of praise.


Sunday services and classes

August 23 Services

  • 8:00 am: Good Samaritan Worship; Dr. Leila Richards, MD, MPH, ELPC member, delivering the message.
  • 10:00 am: Courtyard Worship; the Rev. Christiane Dutton preaching.
Christian Education
  • Contemporaries, Journey with Scripture, Parenting Circle, Seekers: Classes resume on Rally Day, September 13.

Additional worship and prayer opportunities during the week

  • Taizé prayer service: Every Wednesday, 7:00 pm in the chapel. Childcare available from 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm. August 19 Taizé service will be followed at 8:15 by a discussion and demonstration by Jim Cover on bells. Second floor parlor.
  • Labyrinth Prayer Walk: Mondays, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, and Wednesdays, 10:00 am - 9:00 pm.
  • Centering Prayer: Tuesdays, 7:00 pm, room 250.

Session news
At recent meetings, the Session named Bryan Lawrence (Class of 2012) to the Centennial Fund Committee; elected Lenore Williams as Deputy Stated Clerk; and approved guidelines for the 2010 budget.

Housing ministry opportunities with Open Hand
Mark your calendars for a second opportunity to help. Please join our Housing Ministry sometime during August 27 - 29 as we work with Open Hand Ministries to rehab a house in Garfield.
