Rob placing wooden wind trunks into
the organ. While not the most exciting or interesting organ
components, these boxes take a lot of attention in construction
and placement. The smooth wooden conveyances suppress wind noise
as it travels through the organ, and this is particularly
important when working with wind pressures much higher than
normal! The ELPC Aeolian-Skinner Organ is being restored at the Goulding and Wood Organ Company,
Indianapolis, Indiana.
