Become a member or friend of ELPC
If you’re interested in becoming a member, or joining the church as a friend, learn what it means to become a member or friend of ELPC by attending one of our next Inquirers’ classes. It’s a great chance to hear from church members and our pastoral staff about what it means to be a person of faith, and the ministry and vision of our church.
Next class: Sunday August 1, 12:30 - 3:00
Are you or someone you know thinking about joining ELPC as a member or as a friend? This is a great opportunity to find out more about our church community, who we are, what we do, what we believe, and more. Please call Gloria Knopp to register, (412) 441-3800 x22. Lunch is included; let Gloria know if you need childcare.
A faithful member accepts Christ’s call to be involved responsibly in the ministry of the church. Such involvement includes taking part in the common life and worship of a particular church, supporting the work of the church through the giving of money, time, and talents, and responding to God’s activity in the world through service to others.
No person shall be denied membership because of race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, worldly condition, or any other reason not related to profession of faith.
Several times a year, members are received by the Session and then welcomed by the congregation during worship service with special prayers and an affirmation of faith.
