Employment opportunities at ELPC

ELPC is a Presbyterian church ministering in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for almost 200 years, committed to serving the East Liberty neighborhood as well as the responding to needs both national and global. We are affiliated at the local level with the Pittsburgh Presbytery, and at the national level with the Presbyterian Church (USA).

From time to time we have openings on our staff, which are listed below. We invite you to come be a part of our diverse and enthusiastic team.

The openings below do not yet have full position descriptions but we expect to post those in the coming days. Once the position descriptions have been posted, we will begin accepting applications.

  • Full-time maintenance technician: ELPC is seeking a hard-working, self-motivated individual to serve as part of a small team of Maintenance / Housekeeping staff. Must be able to maintain hot water boiler heating system; make basic plumbing, electrical and other building repairs; paint; participate in large cleaning projects; set up and tear down worship, meeting and other spaces. Work schedule will be 40 hours, five days a week, but Saturdays and Sundays may be assigned. The successful candidate will receive reasonable wage and excellent benefits, including paid time off; full medical, dental and vision for the employee; disability and life insurance.   • Part-time maintenance worker: ELPC is seeking a hard working, self-motivated individual to assist a small team of Maintenance / Housekeeping staff in insuring cleanliness of building and grounds including lawn and parking area; setting up and tearing down worship, meeting and other spaces; participating in large cleaning and work projects; help maintain an inventory of supplies. Work schedule will be 20 hours, five days a week, but Saturday and Sundays may be assigned. The complete position description with application instructions will be posted shortly.
  • Part-time adminstrative assistant: ELPC is seeking an individual to: facilitate mission committee correspondence reports and other communications; coordinate health ministry activities; administer fuel assistance phone calls and appointments. Computer skills are required. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 20 hours per week to be arranged during normal business hours.
